A Personal Pentecost

Mysterious and shadowed
blessing us covertly,
teaching us in secret,
doing good in ways we cannot see,
whispering in the wind
singing in the streams
hidden in plain sight.

Flames of divine love
can melt the hardest hearts,
illuminate our minds,
encourage our spirits
and inflame our compassion.

Those who see and understand
gasp and tremble;
weak with wonder
we turn to putty in God’s hands
and are slowly, gently shaped
into the treasures
we were meant to be.

About inklingscommunity

I am a struggling Christian, committed pacifist, near-obsessive recycler, incurable animal lover, inveterate tree-hugger; a nature mystic, a socialized introvert, an advocate for the vulnerable, an opponent of exploiters.
