Moonlight Revelation

Moonlight Revelation

Looking heavenward
on an autumn evening
I am captured –
in the radiant moonglow;
with sheer delight;
struck silent –
are powerless,
incapable of expressing
the awe and joy
I feel.

The air is filled
with shimmering
and inspiring
all that lives
upon the earth
with gratitude
and longing.

On a far off hillside
a wolf sings
a tender lovesong,
as leafy boughs
in delight
and hidden birds
chirp softly:
I love You, too!
I do! I do!

What language
can I borrow,
when no phrases
can convey
the beauty,
and peace
all understanding ….

I stand,
in mute wonderment,
having glimpsed
the hem
of heaven’s robe,
in the stillness
of the night.
