I give thanks to You,
O Holy One,
with all my being.
Before heaven and earth
I proclaim Your greatness.

At sunrise I kneel in gratitude
and praise You, O Beloved,
for your unending love
and faithfulness —
for all that You are
and all You have done
is great and good
beyond description.

As soon as I called out to You,
I heard Your reply;
You strengthened my heart,
and restored my spirit,
and my life was renewed.

The time will come —
this I hope and believe —
when all rulers and kings,
every premier, president
and prime minister,
will heed Your teachings,
and live in Your light.

They will give praise to You,
for Your wisdom
your kindness,
and Your radiant goodness
that shines
across the whole earth.

You are great
and glorious;
too marvelous
to comprehend,
except in part,
and even that —
the little that we know —
inspires us
with awe
and gratitude
and sublime joy.

For Your mercy
is abundant,
your compassion
is boundless,
your love
is eternal.

Though trouble
surrounds me,
You protect me
from hatred
and wickedness.
In Your Presence
I am safe,
like an infant
in its mother’s arms.

God put me here for a reason:
there is a purpose to my life.

Gracious One,
supremely merciful,
eternally faithful,
endlessly loving;
hold me close,
and guide me on Your holy Path.
