23rd Psalm, Reinterpreted
The Lord is my shepherd,
I have everything I need;
he brings me to peaceful
green pastures,
and I rest beside
gently flowing streams.
He restores my soul,
and leads me
along paths of grace and joy,
for the sake of love.
Even though I walk through
the valley of the shadow of death,
I will not be afraid,
for You are with me, O Beloved.
You comfort and protect me,
and nourish my soul,
you have claimed me as your own
and my joy is complete.
Surely goodness and mercy
will follow me all the days of my life
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever.
